چکیده

The zero-temperature TAP equations for the spin-1 Ghatak-Sherrington model are investigated. The spin-glass energy density (ground state) is determined as a function of the anisotropy crystal field D for a large number of spins. This allows us to locate a first-order transition between the spin-glass and paramagnetic phases within a good accuracy. The total number of solutions is also determined as a function of D. PACS Numbers: 05.70.-a, 64.60.-i, 75.10.-b

Network inference using asynchronously updated kinetic Ising model.

Network structures are reconstructed from dynamical data by respectively naive mean field (nMF) and Thouless-Anderson-Palmer (TAP) approximations. TAP approximation adds simple corrections to the nMF approximation, taking into account the effect of the focused spin on itself via its influence on other neighboring spins. For TAP approximation, we use two methods to reconstruct the network: (a) i...

Central limit theorems for cavity and local fields of the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick model

One of the remarkable applications of the cavity method in the mean field spin glasses is to prove the validity of the Thouless-Anderson-Palmer (TAP) system of equations in the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick (SK) model in the high temperature regime. This naturally leads us to the study of the limit laws for cavity and local fields. The first quantitative results for both fields were obtained by Chatt...

Modified TAP equations for the SK spin glass

The stability of the TAP mean field equations is reanalyzed with the conclusion that the exclusive reason for the breakdown at the spin glass instability is an inconsistency for the value of the local susceptibility. The natural requirement of self-consistency leads to modified equations which are in complete agreement with the original ones above the instability. Essentially altered results be...

Closure of the Monte Carlo dynamical equations in the spherical Sherrington-Kirkpatrick model.

We study the analytical solution of the Monte Carlo dynamics in the spherical Sherrington-Kirkpatrick model using the technique of the generating function. Explicit solutions for one-time observables ~like the energy! and two-time observables ~like the correlation and response function! are obtained. We show that the crucial quantity which governs the dynamics is the acceptance rate. At zero te...

Inverse melting and inverse freezing in a three-state spin-glass model with finite connectivity.

The phase diagrams of the three-state Ghatak-Sherrington spin-glass (or random Blume-Capel) model are obtained in mean-field theory with replica symmetry in order to study the effects of a ferromagnetic bias and finite random connectivity in which each spin is connected to a finite number of other spins. It is shown that inverse melting from a ferromagnetic to a low-temperature paramagnetic pha...
